BWC Studio was born in 2018 in the basement of founder Molly Rosen’s Williamsburg building. The first classes were weird, raw, and perfect: a bunch of curious Brooklynites eating BjornQorn and gummi bears, scribbling secrets on looseleaf, and cracking open their lives after work. It wasn’t a class — it was a storytelling collective for people who hated rules but craved meaning, craft, and connection.

Since then, it’s grown into a global, intergenerational writing community — part workshop, part creative sanctuary — for seekers, CEOs, artists, outsiders, and anyone ready to mobilize memory into something true.

Our students have gone on to publish in The New York Times, Vogue, The Cut, The Moth, McSweeney’s, and The Rumpus. They’ve earned MFAs from NYU, Columbia, and The New School, and signed book deals with Metropolitan, Random House, and Doubleday.

Our classes, retreats, and activations teach you how to listen hard, feel deeper, and write with feral precision. We sharpen your imagination, activate your memory, and keep your wild right brain oxygenated and alive. Stories are the medicine. There is no wrong way to write.
